{NEW!} Stencil Sunday #1 + July Mixed Media Challenge

Hey there, STAMPlorations friends! Today's an exciting day because the STAMPlorations girls in the Mixed Media Design Team officially start their term today and you're in for some real mixed media goodness from them!

Every Sunday, you'll see them here on the blog via our new feature: STENCIL SUNDAY. They'll be showcasing non-card mixed media projects where they used ARTplorations stencils + STAMPlorations stamps.

The first Sunday of each month is also the start of our monthly Mixed Media Challenge. Whether you're new to mixed media, seasoned, or somewhere in between, we'd love for you to link up your non-card mixed media projects here and show them off! Playing in the challenge is pretty simple. You'll find the challenge info + prizes towards the end of this post so keep reading! :o)

That's not all -- every Monday and Friday, the mixed media girls take turns sharing a mixed media project with step-by-step tutorials. Our first mixed media tutorial goes live tomorrow, when the ARTplorations blog goes public.

So let's start off with the mixed media projects from the STAMPlorations girls. You'll find more information on how they created their projects by clicking on their names. Hope you can leave them some love when you stop by their blogs!

Inspired to create your own mixed media projects? Link up below! Please just keep in mind these simple rules:
  • Your project(s) can be anything mixed media except a card (so no cards, please!).
  • You must use a stencil or stencils (any brand) in your project(s).
  • You can enter as many projects as you wish as long as they are in separate blog posts.
  • Display the challenge graphic below in your post and link back to this post (not just the main blog).
  • Link up by July 31, 11:55 p.m. Pacific (GMT-7).
Prizes:
  • The winner (as voted by the design team) receives a $15 gift certificate OR her choice of any 2 ARTplorations stencils.
  • The two (2) top picks (as voted by the design team) get to pick their choice of any 1 ARTplorations stencil.

A gentle reminder: This is a non-card mixed media challenge, so please don't link up cards. You must also use a stencil (or stencils) -- any brand or a homemade one -- in your project(s). If it's not obvious to us that you used a stencil, your entry may be deleted.

  13. Fun projects from the DT and what I love most is that they represent all kinds of mixed media - so different but yet connected by the stencil element. Loved seeing these. Thanks bunches for the inspirations. j.
